Livia almost getting TOP!?

TOP! When?
I asked the Bangladeshi workers: "are you going home soon?" They all shake their heads!
You will know when you receive notification from CDL!

  5. I was thinking of installing the digital door lock. it looks damn stylo but it is expensive..abt 1200 to 1500..but I will only put the digital lock if i am not installing gate

  6. The digital door lock would be a lot cheaper if you buy from USA and have your contractor installed them for you.

  10. dear all, livia's my 1st property purchase & i think my agent really screwed it up for me. she persuaded me to use her friend's husband who's actually not on CPF Board's panel of judges. Now I have to pay another lawyer to handle the withdrawal of CPF funds from my CPF account as part of the payment towards my unit. are you in the same situation? how much is the norm to pay for conveyancing?

  11. Hi, check this out and see if you can lodge a complaint with CEA against your errant property agent:

    http://singaporehomeloan.net/2011/04/new-cea-rules-can-property-agents-still-cheat/

The conveyancing fee for buying a new condo under construction is ranging from S$2,500 to $3,500.

  12. That property agent has left the industry. Tried calling her using her namecard but it's no longer her number. Called the company, she's already left last year. Now my lawyer's conveyancing clerk is asking me to send her my personal details so as to help me send to the 2nd lawyer to facilitate the application to CPF. Should I do as she tells me or just go ahead and find a new lawyer? Anyone knows of a lawyer who does conveyancing at a reasonable cost? Thank you..

  14. Its really frustrating to wait for the TOP....

    ReplyDelete
  15. Same sentiments here!!! Why sent us a letter in Feb that TOP will be in April... made everyone so happy & expectant only to be told it's either late May or June & BCA hasn't issued approval blah... );

    ReplyDelete
  16. Right.... Waiting till neck long long!?

    ReplyDelete
  17. so, what is the latest top date ?

    ReplyDelete
  18. The letter stated that TOP was estimated to be in April, it was only an indicative date, not final date.

Phase-I TOP is now likely to be end-May as per latest info.

    ReplyDelete
  19. i truly agree..it is indeed very frustrating to wait...first they said April and now they are saying May end or June ...I hope they get the BCA approval asap and issue the TOP...i am desperately waiting. Does anyone know whether the inspection is over or still in progress?

  21. I called BCA TOP unit 2 days ago. The guy on the phone said he don know and must called CDL and ask them whether they have submitted. I told the BCA guy that i have already contacted CDL and that CDL told me that they have sent in for Approval in MArch.. he said as usual he don know ANYTHING and to call CDL....as usual the typical SINGAPORE style..DING DONG here and there..

  22. CDL submitted the application for Certificate of Statutory Completion (CSC) for site inspection in April. Go to the following URL and enter Livia project reference no. A1252-00612-2004-BP01

    http://www.bca.gov.sg/eservice/UserSearchNew.aspx

BCA has yet to publish the TOP issued in May. You can check online:

  28. call and they will give you the all famous standard ans.."NOT YET TOP SIR/MADAM"..."ITS SOMETIME IN MAY"..."BUT DON KNOW WHEN"

    ReplyDelete
  29. I don't understand how such a reputed builder cannot b sure of the TOP. its really frustrating. first they said April then may not saying early june. I hope they get the BCA approval before this weekend

    ReplyDelete
  30. hi i'm owner of block 73 (phrase two)
Just called CDL and she told me phrase one will TOP end May to early june depending on BCA...
Phrase two will be in Jul... finger crossing...
cos I'm working overseas and if they change again then I will have to shift my rotation!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  31. I called them this afternoon.. Estimated time is early June.. But nothing is confirmed..

    ReplyDelete
  32. If early June TOP, CDL needs another 2 weeks to notify our lawyers, then our lawyer will also take sometimes to notify us.....probably end of June liao

    ReplyDelete
  33. basically phase 1 will open yr doors in early sept and phase 2 like me will open on 31st dec just like that CDL put in thier paper in black and white as in estimated TOP by 31st Dec 2011

    ReplyDelete
  34. WAH!!! You serious!? Where did you get your info from!? Don't scare us!

    ReplyDelete
  35. hey please don't say that....I can't wait until september. infact i don't think it will take that much time to enter our dream home.I m looking at JUne end to get the keys..Keeping my fingers crossed.

    ReplyDelete
  36. i just checked the BCA website and entered the LIVIA project ref and came to know the Waiver has been issued(anyone knows what that means) and CSC application inspection date confirmed in the status. Please explain

    ReplyDelete
  37. What I meant earlier with e dates is that, let's say top issued 1st June. By the time u get yr letter frm lawyer it will be 14 June. Then u make appt to collect key. That will take a week. Then u open door do renovation abt a mth the safest. Then u move in. That will b ard early to mid July. I worst still. My hse is in second phase. I need to move out frm my current hse by early aug. Don know where to stay till then or store my things. Sigh!

  38. It sounds to me that CDL applied for waiver for/to make modifications/additions/repairs/alterations from the existing plan approved by BCA. At this juncture I can only say that it is part of the progress to get all the necessary clearance in order to obtain TOP!

Let's keep both our fingers and toes crossed!!!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Sorry for your situation! Phase II TOP might happen in July but from TOP to key collection might take another 2-3 weeks or more! You can rent a self storage (they are few in the east) on a month-to-month basis. As for accommodation you can stay anywhere to your convenience e.g. "tumpang" your parents/siblings/relatives' or rent a serviced apartment/condo/HDB for a couple of months.

    ReplyDelete
  40. ai yo...u did a wrong thing. U should only sell you current house after u get a key. Another solution is ask your buyer let you stay a few months if they are not in urge, just pay the $$$$ to them.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Checked the BCA site. CDL has actually submitted for inspection in April, probably hoping for TOP status. However, looks like BCA did not approved the inspection as according to the BCA site, CDL applied for APP FOR MODIFICATION-WAIVER OF BUILDG REGULATIONS in May. Prob.. this caused the delay.
