We Finally Bought Livia Condo

On Saturday, 18 July 2009 we finally placed a deposit to purchase our choice unit @ Livia.

We viewed the show flat when it first launched in July 2008. That time Singapore's property market was at its peak. Then the sub-prime disaster in US continued to unfold, followed by the world financial turmoil - from Singapore's economic plunged into a recession to the global stock market meltdown to the fall of Lehman Brothers, crushing whatever that was left of the consumers' confidence. Like most people did, we decided to wait and see.

12 months later, after having seen few other projects in the near vicinity, we still think that Livia@Pasir Ris Grove is the best one around! Like many suburban condos, Livia' average price psf was minimally affected by the recession. It generally fell less than 10% and started to slowly move up since Q1 . We decided that it is a good time to go in to grab before the price moving up further.

While our mortgage loan application was being approved on Friday, one of our choice units was snapped up just like that. With only a few good high floor units left to choose from we showed up at the sales office 15 minutes before it was opened on Saturday morning. A true "kiasu" attitude. The property agent who is our friend was already there welcoming us with a big smile...........
